The Wall Street Journal reported today (Monday) that the broadcaster is particularly interested in the building because it is can be wired for digital media distribution but that it was also concerned about the number of columns inside the building, which would limit the kind of studio space it would need. Al-Jazeera bout Al Gore's Current TV in January, saying at the time that it planned to double the number of its U.S. employees to more than 300. However the Journal, citing a person familiar with the situation, said that it now looks like that number will be as many as 700.
