Robin Gibb - Friends And Family Flock To Robin Gibb's Plaque Unveiling
Friends and family of late BEE GEES star Robin Gibb gathered at his home in England on Sunday (30Sep12) as a special blue plaque was unveiled in his memory.
The singer died aged 62 in May (12) after a battle with cancer, and his career achievements were marked by bosses at The Heritage Foundation and Thame Borough Council with a permanent sign attached to the wall of his home, The Prebendal, in Oxfordshire.
Gibb was president of The Heritage Foundation from 2008 to 2011.
Onlookers included Australian singer Peter Andre, DJ Mike Reid and legendary lyricist Sir Tim Rice, who addressed the crowd from a podium in front of the new tribute.
He said, "It's a great honour for me to have known Robin and a great honour to be here today."
A party was held for 400 guests in the property's grounds after the unveiling.
