We can just imagine Frankie Dettori talking Lindsay Lohan through his epic Gold Cup win on Colour Vision at Royal Ascot last year, or the Hollywood star telling the jockey about her latest film The Canyons. Yep, this is shaping up to be the most bizarre Celebrity Big Brother in history.

The whole thing kicks off tonight (January 3, 2012) and although Chanel 5 have refused to reveal the identities of the stars lined up to appear, friends of Dettori have confirmed to the Daily Telegraph that he will be taking part. Lindsay Lohan has been in London for several days now, seemingly for no good reason.

Whereas it doesn't really matter what Lindsay Lohan does with her career nowadays, Frankie Dettori has plenty to lose. He was recently given a six-month ban by the French racing authorities for testing positive for an unknown substance, though is still regarded as one of the finest flat jockeys in the world. A likeable character, Frankie has been installed as the second favourite, behind the X Factor's Rylan Clark, who is widely assumed to be appearing.

The 59-year-old comedian Jim Davidson has pulled out of an appearance after he was arrested at Heathrow Airport as he flew into Britain. He was detained by detectives investigating the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal.

The Hills' stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were photographed in London this week, while former Eastenders actress Gillian Taylforth is also tipped to appear.
