Francis Launches Website From Jail
Director JOE FRANCIS has launched a new website detailing his fall from grace and subsequent jail sentence - all from the comfort of his Nevada prison cell.
The Girls Gone Wild creator has been in jail since April (07), when a judge found him in contempt of court after he failed to reach a settlement with two 17-year-old girls who were filmed in a shower for the adult film series in 2003.
But the 34-year-old has found the time to set up meetjoefrancis.com - where he claims to be a victim of the U.S. judicial system, reports the New York Post's gossip column Page Six.
He writes, "I'm sure that once you learn the story... you'll be as outraged as I am.
"The scariest thing (is)... that it could just as easily happen to you. I never expected my life to be a cautionary tale, but if revealing the truth behind my circumstances can help one other person avoid being grievously mishandled by the justice system, then it is worth telling."
Francis is also currently facing several other legal problems, including accusations of performing sex with a minor and being party to a tax fraud of $20 million (GBP10 million).
