Fox Sought Therapy After Miscarriage

Fox divorced her husband, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button star Jared Harris, earlier this year (09) following the breakdown of their long-distance relationship and her miscarriage in 2007.

But Fox threw herself into her work rather than dealing with the heartbreak - until she realised how unhappy she had become.

She says, "I underestimated how big a deal it was. I dealt with it very practically. I was working, and just got on with continuing, and I never quite absorbed the reality of it. Psychologically, it takes its toll, and certainly in my case it was a delayed effect.

"I'm essentially a happy person, so it was a real shock not being that. But I suddenly woke up one morning and thought, 'The only person who can cure this disposition is me, and that means taking action and making changes and decisions.'"
