Fox Adds X Factor And Spielberg's Dinosaurs
Fox was the second network to unveil its schedule, featuring what appeared to be a strong lineup that not only includes Simon Cowell's X Factor but also Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park- type drama, Terra Nova, J.J. Abrams prison/sci-fi fantasy Alcatraz, and Touch , a new drama featuring Kiefer Sutherland and an unnamed child star who plays a child who, according to Fox programming chief Kevin Reilly, "sees patterns and connections no one else can." During its comedy animation schedule on Sundays, the network plans to launch Allen Gregory, starring Jonah Hill, about a 7-year-old smart kid who leaves home schooling to attend regular school with kids his own age. Fox also unveiled a new comedy called I Hate My Teenage Daughter about two women who have raised the kind of abusive teenage girls who used to pick on them when they went to high school. ABC is scheduled to unveil its new season on Tuesday, but word leaked out today that the network has picked up 12 new shows -- none of them unscripted. They include a return of Charlie's Angels, with Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh as the new female detectives working for Charlie. The network also has Pan Am, a show about a group of stewardesses and pilots working for the airline in the 1960s. The plot summary reads like a hospital drama set in an airliner instead.
