Former X Factor Consultant Apologises To Tulisa Contostavlos
Chris Herbert, famed for creating the Spice Girls, was hired to work as a consultant on the TV contest, on which Contostavlos is a judge, but lost his job after he was added as a defendant in the star's lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards.
Herbert is said to have been involved in the distribution of the controversial clip, which features the N-Dubz star performing an intimate act on the music manager's client Edwards.
The businessman insists he did not circulate the video and claims he told Edwards not to cash in on the tape.
He has now issued an apology to Contostavlos, telling Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I am so sorry to her for any part I may have played in this horrible saga. I was disgusted by the whole thing and from day one advised Justin not to do anything with the tape. I even got a lawyer to tell him he would be sued. I tried to protect him because he was my client but I never made or asked for a penny. To be honest, I wish I'd never set eyes on the idiot."
