Former Italian prime minister Giulio Andreotti has died at the age of 94.
Andreotti, who served seven terms as the country's leader at various times between 1972 and 1992, passed away in Rome on Monday (06May13).
He was hospitalised last year (12) with heart problems stemming from a respiratory infection but the cause of his death had not been revealed as Wenn went to press.
Andreotti served in the Italian parliament for 60 years and was appointed a senator-for-life in 1991.
He'll be performing a new residency at an intimate theatre.
