The Foo Fighters appeared on the Channel 4 stage to perform softer versions of their repertoire, appropriate for a festival slowly getting underway on its final day.
Songs featured in the set included Marigold, See You, new tune But Honestly and Cold Day In The Sun, the NME reported.
Surprisingly it was not this song but See You which attracted the inevitable bad weather joke the NME quoted him as saying "this is a sunny song, hopefully you'll feel that way when you hear it".
After good weather on Saturday the festival has literally been under a cloud today, but fans continue to enjoy the acts which have survived the usual pre-festival casualties.
Swapping stages from yesterday, The Killers and Kasabian top the bill at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, while Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol do the same at Weston Park on the V stage.
