Foo Fighters - Foo Fighters Announce These Days
Foo Fighters ' new single, These Days, will be released on February 20th, 2012, through Roswell / Columbia. It's the fourth single from their seventh studio album, Wasting Light, which has gone multi-platinum and is multi nominated for Best Album. These Days follows on from Arlandria; Walk and Rope and it holds a special place in frontman Dave Grohl's heart; he has said that it is the proudest he's ever been over a song he's written.
So far, Foo Fighters have had a good 2012; they are nominated for Best Group at the BRIT Awards and have also been nominated for six Grammy awards: Best Album; Best Rock Performance for their song Walk; Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance for White Limo; Best Rock Song for Walk; Best Rock Album and Producer of the Year for Butch Vig. In addition, the band will also be performing at the Grammys.
Since its release in April 2011, Foo Fighters have embarked on a huge, sold out world tour that saw them headline at two of the UK's biggest festivals: Isle of Wight and T In The Park. They also played two nights at the Milton Keynes Bowl. Elsewhere, when the band performed in Auckland, New Zealand, in December 2011, their set caused tremors that were picked up at two nearby earthquake monitoring stations.
Foo Fighters was originally conceived as a one man project for Grohl, following the suicide of former Nirvana band mate, Kurt Cobain. Since the inception in 1994, all seven of their albums have been Grammy nominated for Best Rock Album, with three winning: There Is Nothing Left To Lose; One By One and Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.
