Actor DAN FOGLER became so proficient at table tennis during the shooting of new ping-pong comedy BALLS OF FURY, he injured an opponent by hitting a ball into his eye.
Fogler, who plays table tennis ace Randy Daytona in the new movie, claims to now be an expert at the indoor sport.
He says, "I would say I'm the Bruce Lee of all ping-pong.
"I was a pretty mediocre player, but then during the movie we trained with Olympian Wei Wang and her husband. It got to the point where I was just so damn good that I had to stop because I was hurting people."
He adds, "I detached a man's retina in Reno (in Nevada).
"I was onset and this guy walked up to me and said, 'So you're Mr. Ping-Pong, eh?' So we started playing and I hit a really good serve. Next thing I know the guy's holding his eye. He was cool about it."
