Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac Get Rumours Tribute On Glee
Fleetwood Mac, the legendary British-American rock band, became the first group to have a Glee episode entirely devoted to one album, reports Mtv News. Fleetwood Mac's acclaimed 1977 record 'Rumours' became the subject of Tuesday night's Glee episode, with the New Directions tackling the likes of 'Go Your Own Way', 'Songbird' and 'Don't Stop'.
In this week's episode, Mr Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison, assigned the students the task of covering the classic rock album. Guest star Kristin Chenoweth joined Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera and Dianna Agron to perform six songs from the classic record, including, 'Dreams', 'Never Going Back Again', 'Don't Stop', 'Go Your Own Way', 'Songbird' and 'I Don't Want to Know'. The record, released on 4th February 1977, was Fleetwood Mac's 11th studio and has since become the band's greatest commercial success. The album has been certified 19-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, making it the 10th biggest-selling record of all time in the United States.
Fleetwood Mac reformed for a brief tour in 2008, playing dates in Europe followed by a tour of Australia and New Zealand. Their last performance came during a private show at the Phoenician Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, in October 2009.
