Flaming Lips Plan One-day Mini-tour To Break Jay-z's World Record
The Flaming Lips are hoping to smash Jay Z's record for the most live performances in a 24-hour period by embarking on an epic one-day mini-trek this summer (12).
The rockers will stage eight live shows as they make their way from Memphis, Tennessee to New Orleans, Louisiana by bus on 27 June (12).
The band's marathon trip will be streamed on the internet during MTV's O Music Awards, an online ceremony celebrating the best in digital music.
Jay Z currently holds the Guinness World Record title for the Most Live Concerts In 24 Hours after playing seven shows in seven different cities in 2006.
