Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher has shocked fans by admitting she snorted cocaine on the set of sci-fi epic THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK at the height of her drug addiction.
The star, who played Princess Leia in the phenomenally successful franchise, has been open about her battle with drugs and prescription medication, documenting her addictions in her memoir Wishful Drinking.
And during an interview to promote the stage adaptation of her tell-all tome in Sydney, Australia at the weekend (09-10Oct), Fisher admitted she indulged in narcotics during the filming of 1980 blockbuster Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back.
Fisher made her confession all the more shocking by revealing she inhaled cocaine as she sat on the film's famous ice planet set.
She tells the Australian Associated Press, "We did cocaine on the set of Empire, in the ice planet.
"I didn't even like coke that much, it was just a case of getting on whatever train I needed to take to get high."
