Fiona Apple - Fiona Apple Returns With 26 Word Album Title
Fiona Apple, who hasn't exactly been too active of late, has chosen one sure fire way to get her comeback some much-needed publicity by naming her latest album after a 23 word-long poem. Apple's fourth album will be released on Epic and is called - wait for it - 'The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do,' reports the Nme. As catchy titles it's not up there with the best of them, but then it has got us writing about it so who's to say it hasn't done its job?
In truth there's much to anticipate from Apple's fourth album regardless of title length; she broke through aged just 19 in 1996 with the album 'Tidal' which reached 15 in the US Billboard Charts, she's beaten that twice subsequently, with her second and third albums reaching 13 and seven respectively in 1999 and 2005.
