The final Twilight movie scored the franchise's best opening worldwide over the weekend, with a $340.9 million (£213,000) haul.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 topped the worldwide weekend box office and raked in $141.3 million (£88.3 million) in the U.S. alone.
The film opened in 4,070 cinemas across America on Thursday night (15Nov12), but missed out on a U.S. franchise best by just $1.5 million (£938,000) - The Twilight Saga: New Moon opened with $142.8 million (£89.3 million) in 2009.
Meanwhile, Skyfall became the top-grossing Bond movie of all time over the weekend after blasting past $669 million (£418 million) at the international box office. The Sam Mendes film has raked in $161.3 million (£100.8 million) in America alone in just 10 days.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
