Filmmaker Noel Black has died at the age of 77.
The director passed away at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California on 5 July (14), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He was best known for his film Pretty Poison, which starred Anthony Perkins and Tuesday Weld.
Black was also nominated for a Best Short Film Oscar in 1966 for Skaterdater.
In addition to his film work, he also directed episodes of Tv series The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, Hawaii Five-O and the 1980s version of The Twilight Zone.
The Californian rockers were defiant in their intention to play the venue once again.
Smith announced his intention to get involved in politics, saying that he is "incensed to a level that I can't sleep".
