Feist & Drake Make Polaris Music Prize Shortlist

Feist, Drake and Japandroids will fight it out with seven other acts for this year's (12) Polaris Music Prize after making the shortlist for the best Canadian album.

Drake's Take Care, Feist's Metals and Japandroids' Celebration Rock are up against Grimes' Visions, punk band F**ked Up's David Comes to Life, Handsome Furs' Sound Kapital, Kathleen Edwards' Voyageur, and rapper Cadence Weapon's Hope in Dirt City, among others.

The seventh Polaris Music Prize and the $30,000 (£18,750) awarded to the artist behind the Canadian Album of the Year will be handed out at a gala event in September (12).

Arcade Fire won last year's honour for The Suburbs.
