Fast And Furious Star Vin Diesel Becomes A Father
Vin Diesel has become a father for the first time at 40, it has been revealed.
His representative told People magazine that Diesel and his girlfriend Paloma Jimenez are the proud parents of a baby girl.
Their daughter was actually born on April 2nd, but the birth has only just been confirmed.
The Chronicles of Riddick star is currently working on a sequel to 2001's The Fast And The Furious, returning to franchise alongside original co-star Paul Walker.
Diesel did not feature in 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious, while neither of the first film's leads starred in the third instalment The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006).
But both actors will star in the fourth outing, which sees Walker's character Brian O'Conner teaming up with Diesel's Dominic Torretto to bring down a heroin trafficker, and hits the screen on June 12th 2009.
The supercar series of movies was recently mentioned in conjunction with small-town street racers in Baytown, Texas.
Angry resident Bert Marshall told the ABC 13 news station: "The main complaint we're having is this high speed Vin Diesel, Fast and Furious stuff that's happening all the time."
