The image of Cuban revolutionary ERNESTO 'CHE' GUEVARA has prompted designer label FASHION VICTIM to threaten legal action against a mail order business in Minneapolis, America.
The fashion house says it acquired the exclusive rights to the Guevara picture two years ago (02) from the estate of ALBERTO KORDA - the photographer who took the snap in 1960 - and is threatening to sue NORTHERN SUN MERCHANDISING for profits earned since 2002.
Korda, who died in 2001, never made any money for the photograph - and said it could be used freely except when it "dishonoured" Guevara's memory.29/08/2004 10:50
