Steven Tyler and LeAnn Rimes kicked things off with an unlikely duet of Hi-De-Ho, which turned out to be a surprisingly good fit for both of them. Duets by Mexican brother/sister duo Jesse & Joy (performing Where You Lead) Miguel and Kacey Musgraves (Crying in the Rain)  and Jakob Dylan and Louise Goffin (King's daughter) with Goin' Back followed. The only song that fell somewhat flat was will.i.am and Leah McFall, whose version of Love Makes the World sounded a bit too showy to be genuine.

LeAnn Rimes teamed up with Steven Tyler for the first performance of the night.

There were also performances by the likes of Jason Mraz, Zac Brown, Sara Bareilles and the Raining Jane band, performing a version of Beautiful full of evocative harmonies and Amy Grant, Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert with a country-fied medley of Been to Canaan, I'm into Something Good, It Might As Well Rain Until September and One Fine Day. There were also a number of stunning solo performances by the likes of Pink, Alicia Keys, Gloria Estefan and even Alicia Keys, who in classic style, belted out a soaring rendition of (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman. She dubbed King "the most magnificent songwriter and composer on earth." Even Lady Gaga took the stage at one point and accompanied herself on piano for a dramatic You've Got a Friend.

The guest of honor took the stageafter 11 p.m. to sing Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, and give her thank-you speech. , "As a songwriter, my dream was always and still is to hear great singers perform my songs. It does not get any better than this, folks," she said. The event was held in the name of charity, with proceeds going to musicians in need of financial, medical and personal aid. The night raised more than $5.5 million and that was before the live auction that brought in another $120,000 for King's handwritten Tapestry lyrics and $70,000 for a customized Acura.

Katy Perry appeared as the cover girl for the February issue of GQ magazine, where amongst other things, she revealed that she genuinely believes in extraterrestrial beings and that we are not alone. She also spoke about praying for large breasts, regretting that prayer in later life, her dislike of cannabis, losing her virginity, the beginnings of her career and much more, but it was her other worldly beliefs that has caught on.

"I believe in a lot of astrology. I believe in aliens. I look up into the stars and I imagine: How self-important are we to think that we are the only life-form?" she questioned. "I mean, if my relationship with Obama gets any better, I'm going to ask him that question. It just hasn't been appropriate yet."

Whilst we're sure Obama can't wait for the next time he see's Perry and gets to talk about aliens, it might not be the first time that the most powerful man on earth has been questioned on the subject by a famous face, after all, Perry is not alone in thinking that we are not alone.

Some famous faces who look to the stars and think that we are not alone probably won't surprise you, but others who believe in UFOs and aliens may strike you as a surprise. We've rounded up 5 more stars who believe that the truth is out there.

Tom Cruise
Cruise is certain that we are not alone

This one probably wont come as too much of a surprise, but Tom Cruise is a stern believer in the idea that we are not alone. The Scientology poster boy obviously holds the beliefs of his religion close, including the parts about aliens and UFOs, and has spoken publicly about said beliefs at various points in the past.

Most recently, the actor revealed some of his ideas in press conference for the film Oblivion, when he said, “I don’t think you can actually count it out. It might be a little arrogant to think we were the only ones in all the galaxies throughout the universe — but I’ve never met one!”

Elvis Presley was also a believer in the thought that we are not alone, stating in his time that we are most likely not alone in the universe, with biographers and confidants revealing more after his death. The King even claimed that there were sightings of "a strange, unidentified blue light" above his Tupelo, Mississippi home on the night he was born - according to author and Elvis biographer Michael Luckman.

There are various other reports that link Elvis to aliens, including the known-story that when he was a child, Elvis believed that he was visited by an extra-terrestrial visitor who showed him visions of his future. Although he was never very publicly open about his apparent beliefs, Elvis' friend and hairdresser Larry Geller has since said that the King developed something of an obsession with paranormal and spiritual activity and was always open to the idea of alien life.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2012, the Transformers star gave her argument as to why we are not alone in the universe, saying that TV series such as History's Ancient Aliens have helped open her eyes to what's out there.

"Everyone thinks I'm crazy," Fox said during her interview. "It's all about the theory that these megalithic structures were possibly built by—not necessarily like little green aliens, but maybe future humans that they call ancient astronauts—that did some sort of time travel. Something extraterrestrial was involved."

Whilst most people may agree that we probably aren't alone in the vast expanse of the universe, Alicia Keys thinks that contact has been made and aliens are living amongst us at this very moment. Her Men in Black-like beliefs were revealed in a 2013 interview with Buzzfeed.

Answering "yes" to whether she believed in aliens and whether they walk among us, the multi-Grammy winning singer and songwriter went on to say that she has actually been in contact with Earth-based aliens, saying "I’ve met some serious aliens in my life, for sure [laughs]. I’m sure you’ve seen a UFO. Haven’t all of us seen something flying in the sky, and it’s at some random time of night that doesn’t make sense, and it’s not the shape of a plane?"

One person who has been discussing the existence of extraterrestrial visitors and UFOs longer than most of the people on this list have been born is Shirley MacLaine, one of Hollywood's most dedicated UFO investigators and believer. Shirley says that UFO sightings are a regular occurrence at her New Mexico ranch, although she does admit to never coming in contact with an alien in person.

"I've seen a mothership here, and I've seen them at my ranch," she told Oprah during an interview at the beginning of the decade. "One famous day, a friend of mine was sitting in my hot tub out there, and three UFOs came over and hovered over the hot tub for about 10 minutes."

The firm believer went on to say that alien activity is so commonplace in New Mexico because the universe-wanderers are attracted to the strong presence of crystals in the area. She explained, "Crystals amplify the consciousness. They're attracted to that crystal amplification."

She told Marie Claire magazine: ''I have this vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycle jacket. When I put it on, it has this super cool feeling to it.''

The 32-year-old singer also revealed she swears by vitamins and takes ''multivitamins, probiotics, and vitamin D'' as well as juicing and using Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate to make her skin appear younger and healthier.

Alicia Keys Ends Partnership with Blackberry After Only One Year 4009320 News

Alicia Keys made a surprising move less than a year ago, by announcing a new partnership with Blackberry. But less than a year later, that love affair is over. The company has faced a tough 2013, and the broken partnership probably doesn't help.

Alicia KeysAlicia Keys visits Australia in December

Keys announced the deal on 30 January, only days after tweeting from an iPhone, according to Billboard

"BlackBerry and Alicia Keys have completed our year-long collaboration," the company said. "We thank Alicia for her many contributions including providing creative direction for the BlackBerry Keep Moving Project which attracted more than 40 million visits, advocating for women in STEM and launching the BlackBerry Scholars Program. We have enjoyed the opportunity to work with such an incredibly talented and passionate individual."

Sources told Billboard that Keys had signed with Blackberry to help develop new ideas for an entertainment program put on by the company. Keys also used a Blackberry as a prop while on tour.

After her tour wrapped up, she focused on a cause much closer to her heart: Blackberry's Scholars Program. The program's commitment is to help woman in STEM. The goal was to offer scholarships to 10 women, but apparently has lost some of its funding due to the company's troubles.

Not only was Keys' one-year commitment up, but every executive on board with her signing left (or was made to leave) the company in the last year.

"She got on a sinking ship," a source said.

Keys has not yet commented on the end of the partnership, but likely has a very bright future ahead of her in 2014.

A source previously revealed that Lewis was planning to spoil Nicole with gifts for Christmas before whisking her off on holiday.

The insider said: ''This is their first proper time together as a 'couple' again, even though they have met up privately for talks before.

''Lewis is determined not to mess this big chance up and he's been planning what he's going to buy her for the big day.''
