Despite the apparent exclusivity and subsequent security that Beverly Hills affords inhabitants, Bullock’s run-in with the obsessive fan proves that they will often go to ridiculous measures in order to gain recognition from the subject of their adoration. It also presents a worrying security concern as a lapse in mental health often fuels these celebrity obsessions. Most famously, John Hinckley Jr’s assassination attempt on then President, Ronald Raegan, was seen by Hinckley as a way of courting the attention of actress Jodie Foster. Here are a selection of unfortunate celebs who’ve been subject to break-ins, robberies and warped fans who got a little too close for comfort.

Known as the biggest royal security breach of the 20th Century, a steel erector and safe-breaker named Michael Fagan broke into Buckingham Palace in 1982 and managed to enter the Queen’s bedroom, waking her before swiftly leaving and eventually being caught by police. Fagan reportedly ate cheese and crackers, drank half a bottle of white wine and had a short rest on the throne during his brief visit to the heart of the British monarchy. It was a rude wake-up call for the Elizabeth II and proved that despite a fourteen foot fence, copious alarms and security guards, the head of state was still vulnerable.

Moss, then boyfriend Jamie Ince and her mother, Linda, were sleeping upstairs as robbers made a sneaky entrance into the luxury apartment. An intruder ate Diddy's food and tried on his clothes.

Diddy’s properties have been targeted many times over the years but one break-in in particular sticks out as a particularly odd occurrence of a similar vein to that which befell the Queen in 1982. 30 year-old Quamine Taylor successfully broke into Diddy’s property via an unlocked basement window, but instead of stuffing as many diamond watches and hard cash into his pockets and doing a runner, Taylor hung around the house and made himself right at home. Upon finally being caught, Taylor explained that it was far from the first time he had broken into the rapper’s property, and had done so on multiple occasions under the reuse that he was part of Diddy’s extended entourage. Whilst inside the property, Taylor helped himself to the rapper’s food and drink and modelled the clothes found inside Diddy’s wardrobe.

Dre usurped the top spot from Sean Combs, who is worth an estimated $700 million. The race is on.

3. Jay Z

Shawn Carter, or Jay Z, as he’s mainly known, has a personal fortune of around $520 million (and that’s not including wife Beyonce’s bank balance). Jay’s $150 million deal with Live Nation played a huge role in the bulk of his fortune, although he’s always expanding his business.

Khloé Kardashian not taking French Montana to sister Kim's wedding 4169657 News

Khloé Kardashian isn't taking French Montana to her sister Kim and Kanye West's wedding.

The 29-year-old reality TV star - who filed for divorce from estranged husband Lamar Odom last year - hasn't invited her beau to the Parisian nuptials next month because she doesn't want to take the spotlight away from her sibling.

A source told Hollywood Life.com: ''If Khloé did that [invite French], that would compete with the significance and royalty of Kim and Kanye's day. So no, she isn't. That's not something she feels would be appropriate at this time.''

Khloé and French, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, have been inseparable since they were first seen together at a party thrown by P. Diddy to celebrate his son's birthday last month and they have since been on a double date with Kourtney Kardashian, 35, and her boyfriend Scott Disick.

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star has become smitten with her new man following the deterioration of her marriage to basketball ace Lamar amid claims he cheated on her and had drug addiction problems.

A source previously said of French: ''Khloé adores him. She keeps telling everyone what a great guy he is.''

Meanwhile, Kim and Kanye, who have 10-month-old daughter North together, are set to tie the knot on May 24 in France after getting engaged last October.

Miley Cyrus accused of disappointing sick fan 4128021 News

Miley Cyrus has been accused of disappointing a very sick young fan at a special meet-and-greet.

The 'Wrecking Ball' singer reportedly stepped in and agreed to spend time with seven-year-old Miley Hodge, who has terminal bone cancer and has been given a maximum of six-months to live, after the child's family reached out to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in a bid to help her meet her favourite celebrity, Justin Bieber, who wasn't available.

But the encounter didn't go well, according to family friend Brandon Deboer, who told gossip website RadarOnline.com: ''From what I know, it was not a very good experience for them.''

Another insider explained: ''The family went to Los Angeles and were put off for nearly a week before they met [Cyrus]. They finally met at the recording studio and from what I understand, Cyrus was more interested in what she was doing in the studio than paying attention to the little girl.''

But young Miley's father Bert Hodge insisted they were ''grateful for the chance to meet Cyrus in person.''

He added: ''I think that if she wants to meet 50 celebrities, she deserves that chance. She has fought hard to stay alive. She has beaten the odds, [and] hasn't gave up.''

The Hodge family and their friends are still hoping that the little girl will get a chance to meet Justin, 20, and have launched a campaign to get his attention on Twitter, which has already attracted support from P. Diddy, Kelly Osbourne, Mike Tyson and Tara Reid.

Mr Deboer said: ''She loves Justin, his music and that he tells her never to give up on her dreams. Her dream is to meet him one day, only she doesn't have many days left.''

Puff Daddy, P.Diddy, Diddy, Swag? The Sean Combs Name Change Timeline 4126390 News

Sean Combs has had a lot of name changes in his career, but now he's back to the name we all first knew him by, Puff Daddy. He might have come full circle but inbetween we had P.Diddy, Diddy and even Swag (what?). So incase you're wondering, here's a full timeline of the many names of Sean Combs, the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy who was P.Diddy or Diddy but is now Puff Daddy again.

Sean Combs aka Puff DaddySean Combs aka Puff Daddy

The man now known (again) as Puff Daddy came into the world on November 4th 1969 and was then given his first name, the very normal, Sean John Combs. It was as a child that he was first given the ‘Puffy’ nickname as he used to ‘huff and puff’ when he got mad. He told Jett magazine back in 1998 that growing up he ‘had a temper. That's why my friend started calling me Puffy.’ The nickname stuck and in 1993 he founded ‘Bad Boy Records’ and signed rapper Craig Mack, who’s single 'Flava In Ya Ear’ became the label’s first release. The label’s main star soon became the Notorious B.I.G. after the release of his 1994 ‘Ready to Die’ album. Combs is credited on the record as a producer under the name Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs.

When Combs became ready to make the move as a solo artist he added the ‘Daddy’ to his name, you know ,to show that he was 'the man'. As Puff Daddy Combs released his debut solo album ‘No Way Out’ in 1997 which included the single "I'll Be Missing You", a tribute to The Notorious B.I.G who had been shot and killed that March. The album later won Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

Sean Combs aka Puff DaddyHe's Sean John in the fashion world

In 1998 the entrepreneur moved into the world of fashion, launching his first clothing line, named Sean John, after himself of course. Then 1999 Combs began a high profile relationship with singer and actress Jennifer Lopez. The couple hit the headlines in December that year, after Combs was arrested when a shooting broke out in a New York night club. Combes was charged on four weapons-related charges as well as with bribing his driver. He was later found not guilty on all charges. Around this time he was usually referred to as Puffy.

After his acquittal, Combs decided to put all the drama behind him by changing his name again, this time to P.Diddy in 2001. Combs told MTV that March, ‘no more Puff Daddy - the first week in June, we're going to have a name-change ceremony, I just want something fresh. I'm rocking with P Diddy now’. The nickname had been suggest by his late friend the Notorious B.I.G. The name change was later lampooned in his video for ‘Bad Boy For Life’ when Ben Stiller calls at his door and says, ‘Puffy, or Diddy, P Poppa, Poppadiddy pop, I’m sorry I don’t know what you're calling yourself these days’. Four years later the P was dropped and he became just Diddy. He explained the reason saying, ‘I felt the 'P' was coming between me and my fans,’ in an interview with Katie Couric. Adding, ‘we had to simplify it. It was, you know, doing concerts and half the crowd saying 'P. Diddy,' half the crowd chanting 'Diddy.' Now everybody can just chant ‘Diddy.' Yes changing your name again makes things a lot easier Diddy.

In 2008 his clothing company Sean John launched their first fragrance entitled, ‘I Am King’, but we’re not sure if this one counts as an official name change. Then in 2011 he changed his name again, this time to ‘Swag’. Swag wasn't for the long term though, he only wanted to be called it for a week as he had just recovered from being sick. He said, ’in honor of my comeback … for this week only, you can call me by my new name, Swag!’. Despite it only being a 7 day change he did set up a twitter @iamswag which he used for a five day period, that's dedication.

Now once again Sean Combs is back, this time as Puff Daddy. He made the announcement alongside a teaser for his new video ‘Big Homie’ , from his upcoming album 'MMM'. With all the attention the apparent name change got, Diddy, sorry, Puff Daddy tweeted ‘For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! :) Be cool Man lol’. But you did Sean and we have the albums to prove it.

Sean Combs Drops P Diddy And Re-Adopts Puff Daddy Moniker 4125394 News

It is the 90's all over again, Puff Daddy is back!

Music mogul Sean Combs, A.K.A P Diddy or just plain Diddy, announced the name change on Tuesday (March 25th).

The reason behind reverting back to Puff Daddy, which he dropped in 2001, is to mark the release of his first full studio album in four years, 'MMM.'

The 44 year-old established the name alteration to his fans during a trailer clip for his forthcoming single 'Big Homie', which features rapper Rick Ross.

Big Boy Entertainment presents Combs in the streets of New York City looking like his old extravagant self, and the clip also teases a contribution from French Montana.

"For the record, I did not change my name," Combs tweeted. "I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! :) Be cool Man lol #MMM #BigHomie RT!!!!"

He then posted the following tweet later on, "#DIDDYORDADDY ???", which was a nod to the fans reaction of the name change.

Combs used the moniker Puff Daddy for his 1997 studio set 'No Way Out', which is still his highest-selling record to date, and could explain the reason why he is going back to it.

The record label owner's third album 'The Saga Continues' marked his debut as P. Diddy in 2001, and his most recent studio album 'Last Train To Paris' (2010) was released under the name Diddy.

'MMM' is slated for a release later this year and the lead single 'Big Homie' is scheduled to drop next Tuesday (April 1st).

P. Diddy puts apartment up for sale 4112758 News

P. Diddy is selling his New York apartment for $7.9 million.

The rap mogul is moving out of his 66th floor 2,300 square foot home and is currently searching for a bigger property so he can throw big parties and events similar to those he enjoys at his mansion on Star Island in Miami.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: ''Diddy wants to move downtown, into a larger apartment where he can entertain and throw parties without disturbing the neighbours.''

Diddy's current New York property boasts a piano room, a Crestron system which controls sound through the entire apartment, and a living room with a built-in 90-inch flat-screen television.

Diddy - whose real name is Sean Combs - previously listed the property for sale in 2012 for $8.5 million.

As well as looking for a new New York base, the 44-year-old star has also been househunting in Beverly Hills.

According to gossip website TMZ, the 'I'll Be Missing You' star has been looking at a $12 million 11,200 square foot home in the gated Beverly Ridge community, but is investigating the local homeowners' association's policies on parties before he will consider making an offer.

And it may be that their rules are good enough for him, as though big parties require a valet service and security and noise regulations are enforced, the neighbourhood body are said to be ''flexible'' as the community is home to lots of famous residents who are known for their parties.

The property - which Kim Kardashian considered buying last year - was custom built for Keyshawn Johnson in 2003, but the sportsman sold it the following year.
