Penelope Cruz is only the second actress to land Oscar nominations for speaking in two different languages - Spanish in Volver and English and Spanish in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. The only other actress to achieve such a feat is Ingrid Bergman, who spoke Swedish in Autumn Sonata and English in six other nominated roles.
