The first battle in the war of the U.S. TV talent shows has been won by Christina Aguilera and The Voice. Much to the surprise of TV experts, the third blind audition episode of the show in as many days landed moire viewers than Britney Spears' debut of The X Factor when the two programmes went head to head in the same hour on Wednesday night (12Sep12). Aguilera's show picked up 10.5 million viewers, while Britney's only managed a 7.5 million rating, rising to 9.5 million for its second hour, when The Voice was no longer on air.
