Director Sam Mendes is set to bring the magic of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory to life after signing up to oversee a stage production of the Roald Dahl classic in London's West End next June (13). Casting has not yet begun but Johnny Depp, who previously portrayed the role of eccentric candy factory owner Willy Wonka in a 2005 movie adaptation of the story, is not expected to take part.
