The leader kicked off the evening by appearing at a Lgbt (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) Leadership Council gala. Glee star Darren Criss provided the entertainment for 600 guests after singer Pink withdrew from the event because of illness, and Obama continued the Glee love after the gala by attending a star-studded fundraising dinner at show creator Ryan Murphy's home.
