The Men They Couldn't Hang - Fans And Friends To Mark 10th Anniversary Of Joe Strummer's Last Gig

Folk-punk group The Men They Couldn't Hang and The Clash tribute band Take The 5Th are among the acts set to pay tribute to Joe Strummer on the 10th anniversary of the late music icon's last gig.

The Clash frontman and his band The Mescaleros headlined a benefit concert for the Fire Brigades Union at London's Acton Town Hall on 16 November, 2002, and now friends and fans are gathering to commemorate the show.

Acton Town Hall is no longer available to hire, and so the gig will take place at Notting Hill's Tabernacle.

Strummer died of a congenital heart defect in December, 2002.
