Fancy A Flutter? Best Celebrity Bets For 2013, Weddings, Babies, Breakups!

2013 is going to be a big year for the celebrity world. Ok, so we've got the usual Golden Globes, Oscars, Grammys and Emmys to look forward to, but we've also got a Royal baby on the way, plus plenty of the inevitable breakups, makeups, weddings and pregnancies! The good people at bookmaker Paddy Power have compiled a list of their best celebrity bets for 2013, so here goes:

Punters Will Be Hoping Kate And Will's Pick Victoria or George As Their First Baby Name

We just had to start with Kate Middleton and Prince William's first child, who is likely to become the future King or Queen of England according to new succession laws. Attention has inevitably turned to the couple's choice of name, with Elizabeth and Victoria the favourites for a girl at 5/1. For a boy, George is the huge favourite at 8/1, with David available at 16/1. King George? Yep, sounds about right to us. For the more ambition punter, Paddy is 50/1, while Britney is a massive 500/1. You can also have a bet on the hair colour of the baby, with Brown the 13/8 favourite. Should he or she take her father's fair hair, then successful gamblers who took 2/1 will be paid out, while Ginger is also available at 6/1. Kate Middleton's severe morning sickness has been linked to twins, and should the Duchess gave birth to two Royal babies, than punters who took 6/1 will be jumping for joy. Quadruplets are 1000/1.

With the race for the Oscars well and truly on, it's worth recapping on the odds currently available for the winning movies, actor, actresses and directors. It's been a funny market over the past couple of months, with Argo seemingly way out in front before Spielberg's Lincoln scored almost unanimous praise. Beasts of the Southern Wild was also once considered favourite for Best Picture, though has since dropped off. Oscar bait releases like Flight, Les Miserables and Zero Dark Thirty have established themselves as the head of the market, though it's the biopic of America's greatest president that remains the frontrunner. Spielberg's epic starring Daniel Day-Lewis is the 5/4 favourite to win Best Picture, with Tom Hooper's Les Miserables at 2/1. The Osama Bin Laden manhunt movie Zero Dark Thirty is at 3/1, with the much fancied Argo available at 9/2.

As for the acting categories, it seems a foregone conclusion that Jennifer Lawrence will scoop Best Actress for her role in David O'Russell's Silver Linings Playbook (4/9), though Jessica Chastain has received superb reviews for her turn in Zero Dark Thirty. Daniel Day-Lewis may as well collect his Oscar for Best Actor now - he's the massive 2/7 favourite for the golden statuette and WILL win, so stick £1,400 on him today and collect your £400 in February. For any crazy movie fans, Denzel Washington is available at 6/1, while Hugh Jackman is at 7's. 

Perhaps the most intriguing of the Oscar categories is that of Best Director, with Steven Spielberg the favourite at 13/10, and Ben Affleck at 15/8. Kathryn Bigelow - a favourite with the Academy - is 5/2.

For something a little more interesting, Paddy Power have compiled odds for celebrity relationships in 2013, specifically the first couple to get married, the first to announce they are expecting a baby and the first to split. The first of these sees Liz Hurley and her former cricket star beau Shane Warne at the head of the market at even money. Oscar winner Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll are second favourites at 7/4, while it's 6/1 for Ryan Gosling to break everyone's heart and marry his current squeeze Eva Mendes. Don't' do it Ryan!

In the pregnancy stakes, Zara Phillips and rugby star Mike Tindall are the favourites to announce they're expecting first at 11/10, with a huge gap to the second favourites, Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, at 6/1. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel could be worth a punt at 8/1, as could Frank Lampard and Christine Bleakley at 10/1.

For the cynics amongst you, Paddy Power offer 3/1 on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to split first in 2013. We personally can't see it, and feel Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart represent much better value at 6/1.

A staple of the lad's mag calendar, FHM's Sexiest Woman in the World award was taken by Tulisa Contostavlos this year, though Mila Kunis is the strong 5/2 favourite for next year. Again, we're going to go against the bookmaker with this one (mainly because FHM like to hand out their award personally and we can't imagine Kunis flying over for it). We reckon Nicole Scherzinger is a peach of a bet at 14/1!
