Hector 'macho' Camacho's family has asked for two more days to spend with the boxer before he is taken off life support.
The former world champion was hospitalised in his native Puerto Rico on Tuesday (20Nov12) after he was shot in the face while sitting in a Ford Mustang car outside a bar in Bayamon.
Doctors declared him officially brain dead on Thursday (22Nov12), but two of his sisters want to hold off on letting him go.
Dr. Ernesto Torres explains, "We have done everything we could. We have to tell the people of Puerto Rico and the entire world that MACho Camacho has died, he is brain dead."
Camacho's aunt Aida Camacho reveals the sisters requested the extra time to spend with him, and other family members agreed.
