Fall Out Boy Want To Be Friends With Killers

FALL OUT BOY have held out the hand of peace to rival rockers THE KILLERS in a bid to end their feud. The two groups began a bitter rivalry last year (05) after The Killers frontman BRANDON FLOWERS criticised the bands' A+R man (Island Records' ROB STEVENSON) for working with Fall Out Boy. He continued it recently, slamming the band's music and claiming "there's a creature inside me that wants to beat all those bands to death." He added, "You don't realise what you could be getting yourself into with Fall Out Boy. Emo, pop-punk, whatever you want to call it, is dangerous." But Fall Out Boy frontman PETE WENTZ wants to be friends. He says, "Honestly, I like Brandon a lot from what I've read in interviews. He's sharp. I don't think people would take as much notice (of his comments) if he wasn't. I respect that. "I kinda like how he called Fall Out Boy 'dangerous'. It felt like how ICE called MAVERICK 'dangerous' in TOP GUN." "I kind of think of it this way: How could you feel like a superhero if you didn't have an arch-nemesis?" Wentz adds that he has actually helped get Flowers' friends and family into Fall Out Boy shows and confesses he is annoyed by Flowers' claims they have never met, insisting, "We met a couple of times."
