'Expendables 2' Star Sylvester Stallone Reflects On Son's Death

A stoic Sylvester Stallone reflected on the tragic death of his son Sage on 'Good Morning America' this week. The actor called it a "horrible situation" though assured fans that he was "hanging in there" as he comes to terms with the shock death.

36-year-old Sage was found dead at his Los Angeles home last month, though a cause of death is yet to be determined. Stallone, 65, said, "It's tough it's very, very, tough. But if you have good friends and your family's support, it's just something that's a horrible situation but ... hopefully it will heal and you try to get through it but it's something that is a reality in life". Sage appeared with his father in the Rocky V movie in 1999 and had been working as a producer at the time of his death. After his son's private funeral, Stallone took his family on a holiday to the Mediterranean to take their minds off the tragedy and they appeared upbeat at the UK premiere of Stallone's new movie 'The Expendables 2' this week. The actor put on a united front with his wife and three young daughters in London's Leicester Square on Monday evening (August 13, 2012).

Stallone is certainly keeping himself busy at least, and will soon begin work on the comedy 'Grudge Match', with Robert De Niro. The movie follows a pair of ageing boxing rivals who are coaxed out of retirement for one final bout.
