Evan Rachel Wood To Appear In Abraham Lincoln Drama

Evan Rachel Wood, star of the vampire series True Blood, is set to appear in Robert Redford's forthcoming film The Conspirator, about the assassination of US President Abraham Lincoln. Wood plays Anna Surratt, the daughter of Mary Surratt, who in 1865 was executed for conspiring to murder Lincoln. The movie also stars James McAvoy and the ex-wife of Sean Penn, Robin Wright.

Wood - who is reported to have split with rocker boyfriend Marilyn Manson - most recently starred in 2008's The Wrestler, and the 2009 comedy Whatever Works.

The Conspirator is directed and Produced by ROBERT REDFORD and is due to debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2010.
