Engelbert Humperdinck - Engelbert Humperdinck Hunting Out Car Registration Buyer
Veteran crooner Engelbert Humperdinck has made a public appeal to find a man who offered him $3.2 million (£2 million) for his personalised registration plate.
The 76 year old was approached by "a very nice man from the Uae" after parking his Rolls Royce Corniche outside London's Savoy Hotel, where he was asked about the possibility of selling his plate, Eh1.
Humperdinck took the man's details but subsequently lost them - and now he has gone public about the potential purchase in a bid to seal the deal.
He says, "His surname was Hussein and obviously his initial must have been E. So I am asking that, if anyone knows Mr Hussein, can they please contact my London-based record company, Conehead Uk, as he had talked me into making the sale and I don't want to disappoint him."
