An Empire State Building shooting occurred at 9am this morning, reports The Telegraph. Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation are on the scene, in addition to Nypd officers, an Fbi spokesman said in an email.
The reports are varied, with some sources saying eight people have been shot, some saying ten, but a shooting at the popular tourist attraction in New York has been confirmed. One of the dead is understood to be the gunman, who was killed by police officers. Jill Greenwood, an account supervisor at Prosek Partners in the Empire State Building, said she heard several gunshots. "We heard these gunshots, it sounded like fireworks. So, we both got up and went to the window and looked down," she explained.
The control of gun use in America has been under intense scrutiny of late. Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, said of President Obama "My president is trying to pass a gun ban, so he's staging all of these murders. Like the Fast and Furious thing down at the border, and Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple . I don't know where I'm gonna live if America keeps going the way it's going because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America."
