Emma Watson Is Listed As Most Dangerous Female Celebrity
Emma Watson has been labelled as the 'most dangerous' celebrity' to search for on the internet with online criminals using her to trap users into downloading malicious material and disclose personal information.
The 22-year-old 'Harry Potter' actress, when searched, was revealed to have a 1 in 8 chance of posing an online threat according to net security company Mcafee who has conducted the study of which celebrities are most likely to be used to trick users into downloading malicious software for the sixth time. The company urges internet users to be aware of various types of malicious content concealed in even the smallest of places such as shortened URLs which can circulate viruses through emails, text messages and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
Last year, it was 'Project Runway' host and former supermodel Heidi Klum to top the list of 'most dangerous' star to be exploited by cyber crooks with a 1 in 10 chance of coming into contact with malicious content in a search. It seems that female stars are more likely to be used than men as it was talk show host Jimmy Kimmel who happened to be the only male to hit the top 20 list. Piers Morgan was the 'most dangerous' male in the survey conducted last year.
Film stars are more likely to be used than popstars and other celebrities listed as 'most dangerous' include Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes, Selena Gomez and HALLE BERRY.
