Emma Stone - Emma Stone Would Be A 'Great' Director
Emma Stone could be a ''great'' director according to the producer of her latest movie 'The Help' Chris Columbus.
Emma Stone could become a "great" director if she wants to step behind the camera.
Chris Columbus, the producer of Emma's new movie 'The Help', was very impressed with the 22-year-old actress on the set of the comedy-drama and thinks she has the intelligence and talent to take control of a shoot.
Speaking at the film's US premiere at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday night (09.08.11), he said: "While she's an amazing actress who I think will work for the next 40 years, I've been telling her over the last few months that I think she'd make a great director. Because she's so bright that it's a little scary, and she has a great ability to read people. Every time I talk to her, it seems like she's twice as old as she is."
As well as 'The Help', Emma has also had two other films out this year, 'Friends with Benefits', in which she stars with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, and 'Crazy, Stupid, Love', of which she is a member of a stellar cast featuring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Julianne Moore.
The young starlet has also been cast as Gwen Stacy in the hotly-anticipated superhero movie 'The Amazing Spider-Man' opposite Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter-ego, and Chris insists Emma is Hollywood's new "It Girl".
He said: "The thing is, [Emma's] not just the 'It Girl'. She's also a great actress who just happens to be in a slew of movies that are all coming out around the same time."
