Emma Stone Laments Enduring Quality Of The Amazing Spiderman
When The Amazing Spiderman hits screens this summer it will be the fourth time it has hit the big screen in this century. One person who thinks that this franchise will carry on for years to come is one of its stars; Emma Stone.
Speaking to IBN, the actress said "Comic books are our most recent mythology" and that there will always be new angles to explore, "no matter how soon after another version of it is."
In the interview, Stone admits to initially being in two minds over accepting the role of Spidey's love interest Gwen Stacy, but the auditions took care of her fears. She is now romantically linked with the film's star Andrew Garfield, and went on to discuss the reel-life romance of the film as well as her own, real-life love of the actor.
The film is currently starting its opening run in the Far East, with the premier taking place in Tokyo earlier this week. The cast and crew are now on a globetrotting expedition to promote the film, which opens worldwide on the 3rd of July. The film itself explains how a socially awkward teen, Peter Parker, becomes the web-slinging superhero and goes on to fight the new to screen villain The Lizard, played by RHYS IFANS.
