Emily Maynard is all set to face some drama on The Bachelorette, when she discovers that one of her suitors referred to her daughter as "baggage." The comment was revealed to her on one of the group dates, according to People magazine, by single dad Doug, who understands the importance of finding the right partner when you have a child to look after.
People magazine spoke to Sean Lowe, who had, himself, enjoyed a romantic date in London with Emily. Speaking about the date, he revealed "It was the first opportunity I had to spend the entire day with her and I'm not ashamed to say it was one of the best days of my life. That was the day I knew I had really strong feelings for her and the first time I pictured myself being with her in the future." He also commended Doug for warning Emily away from a potential suitor that viewed her daughter as 'baggage,' too: "He knows what it's like to raise and protect a child and felt it was his place to step in and try to protect Emily. My hat's off to him."
He added "There's a lot of chatter among guys - call it locker-room talk - that you have to take with a grain of salt or they're joking in the moment, but if I overheard a guy say something as strong as 'Ricki's baggage.. I would step in and say something". Needless to say, Emily's response was a strong one, which apparently involves a whole bunch of swearing and threats of physical violence.
