Emeli Sande is supporting Gucci's UK Music Fund.

The 26-year-old singer joined forces with Jo Whiley at London's Soho hotel today (10.04.13) for the launch of Gucci Timepieces and Jewellery's new UK Music Fund, which aims to discover and nurture British music talent and help them make their way into the music industry.

Emeli said: ''It's crucial that young people today have the chance to express themselves through music and are given opportunities to do so.''

The fashion house introduced the Timepieces and Jewellery Music Fund in the UK following the successful 2012 launch in China, which supported young musicians in Asia through the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.

Gucci will offer ten students, who otherwise won't have access to music training, the chance to attend the Los Angeles Grammy Camp, which aims to educate aspiring musicians.

The high end label will also launch a limited-edition watch, boasting the engraving Gucci Music Fund.

Award-winning songwriter Emeli also offered first-hand career advice and shared personal experiences about the competitive industry with the students.
