Sir Elton John - Elton John Tops U.k.'S Million-seller Single List
Sir Elton John's tribute track to Diana, Princess Of Wales has been crowned the highest-selling single in U.K. chart history.
Bosses at Britain's Official Charts Company have marked the 60th anniversary of the countdown by issuing a list of the 123 hits which have sold more than a million copies since records began in 1952.
The Rocket Man is on top with his 1997 reworked version of Candle In The Wind, which was released as a double A-side with Something About The Way You Look Tonight, in memory of the tragic British royal who died in a car crash in France.
The release sold 4.9 million copies, putting it ahead of Band Aid's charity record Do They Know It's Christmas?, which shifted a total of 3.7 million as part of an effort to raise funds for those affected by famine in Ethiopia.
Queen's 1975 classic Bohemian Rhapsody is third with 2.4 million, while rounding out the top five is Wings' Mull of Kintyre and You're The One That I Want from hit film Grease - both with two million sales.
The Beatles also make three appearances in the top 30 - She Loves You is at eight with 1.9 million, I Want To Hold Your Hand sits at number 15 with sales of 1.8 million, and at number 25 is Can't Buy Me Love, with sales of 1.5 million.
More recent hits to pass the million mark in the new countdown include Adele's Someone Like You and Gotye's Somebody That I Used To Know.
