ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN AGE was the first winner at the Oscars, as ALEXANDRA BYRNE picked up the night's Best Costume Design award. The British designer missed out on the honour three times before her big win on Sunday (24Feb08). The night's second prize went to family film Ratatouille, which was a clear favourite to win the Best Animated Feature Film. The victory earned director Brad Bird his second Oscar.
