19 October 2012Actress/model Elizabeth Hurley and her cricket star fiance Shane Warne plan to start married life in style after buying Donnington Hall in England.
The couple has paid an estimated $9.6 million (£6 million) for the listed country estate in Herefordshire, which was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
The 12-bedroom stately home, which was once the country residence of the Bishop of Hereford, comes with guest and staff quarters, impressive parklands and landscaped gardens, a 750-plus square foot formal drawing room with oak parquet floors, a large farmhouse-style kitchen, Edwardian-era equestrian barn, a 16th-century coach house and tithe barn, a carp-stocked spring-fed lake, tennis courts and even a croquet lawn.
According to property website RealEstalker.com, Australian sports star Warne currently owns a vast spread in Melbourne suburb Brighton, while Hurley's property portfolio includes a London townhouse and a farm in the picturesque Cotswolds region of England.
