Elisha Cuthbert Anxious About Comedy Role
'Happy Endings' is a modern romantic comedy following a group of six close friends. Cuthbert's characters calls off her wedding at the last minute, "totally disrupting the group dynamic". The 28-year-old, who has mainly worked on television dramas in recent years, says she was little nervous before starting work on the comedy, saying, "I had some anxiety because most of my work on television had been with 24, and I was used to that element. Once I got on the set, I felt like this was a good place for me. I felt comfortable". Cuthbert describes her role as an "honest take on a girl in her late 20's, early 30's going through life at that time".
Despite her new role, Elisha Cuthbert admits that she is "looking forward" to appearing in more feature films in the future. She had parts in 'Love Actually' and 'The Girl Next Door' as well as independent movies such as 'Captivity' and 'He Was a Quiet Man'. 'Happy Endings' premieres on Abc at 9.30pm Edt tonight.
