Elin Nordegren - Elin Nordegren Bulldozes Brand New $12 Million Mansion
Elin Nordegren, the former wife of professional golfer Tiger Woods, was so unhappy with the standard of her new $12 million mansion in North Palm Beach, that she smashed the entire property to smithereens and started again.
The former model, who divorced from Woods after his well-publicized string of infidelities, bought the 9,000 square foot home in March 2011, shortly after she had taken a reported $100 million divorce settlement from Tiger. According to Tmz.com, Elin felt the 6 bedroom, 8 bathroom luxury pad "wasn't quite up to her standards", and so called in the builders and had the entire thing knocked down. Nordegren has now hired a "high priced architect" to build her "dream home", with every single worker having to sign a confidentiality agreement given the celebrity status. In the meantime, she and her kids have moved into a nearby mansion inside a private community where they will remain until the new house is complete. Though the Swedish-born model has kept a low profile following her acrimonious divorce from Woods, the New York Post reported in 2011 how she had struck up relations with wealthy American investor Jamie Dingman - the son of billionaire Michael Dingman. The couple reportedly spent time together in Florida and Nordegren's home country, though the current status of their relationship is unclear.
Elin is currently studying part-time as a Psychology student at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
