Edward Norton's Unsettling Hopes

Edward Norton wants people to be "unsettled" by his movies.

The 41-year-old actor has learnt to "chill out" about whether people like his films five minutes after they have left a screen and hopes his projects leave people feeling different from when they first go in.

He said: "What I learned going through the experience on 'Fight Club' is that you've got to chill out about whether people like it five minutes after they saw it.

"A tough film sometimes is going to leave people feeling a little unsettled at the end, or uncertain, or whatever. And over time, they come to appreciate that."

Edward - who stars along Brad Pitt in the 1999 Drama movie - also reveals many Women love the movie despite many believing it to be a man's movie.

He told the San Francisco Chronicle: "One of the things I love about it is many, many women and men relate to it. It was never intended to be a guy's film at all.

"In fact, I think that one of the things that was frustrating to us at the time was that the studio that put it out didn't have faith in some ways that it was funny, that it would be accepted as satirical. They treated it as this guy's action kind of thing, which it's so not."
