Editors Added To Monolith Line-upby Contributor | 30 May 2007
Editors have been added to the line-up for Monolith festival in the Rocky Mountains along with fellow British rockers Art Brut.
Turbonegro will also play the festival as well as Matt and Kim, Tim Barry of Avail, Au Revoir Simone, Rocky Votolato and Mason Proper.
The festival, held in the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, now boasts an impressive line-up of top US and UK bands.
Cake and the Decembrists will headline the first day of the festival on Friday September 14th followed by Kings of Leon and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
Oklahoma psychedelic rockers the Flaming Lips will play the following day on September 15th and will be preceded by Art Brut, Brian Jonestown Massacre and Spoon.
Monolith has expanded a great deal this year with four extra stages and a club area below the main auditorium.
The Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a naturally formed sound bowl nestled in the Rocky Mountains and overlooking the city of Denver.
It is regarded as one of the finest music venues in the world and follows a similar mantra to Glastonbury in terms of running auditions for bands who want to play at the event.
