Eddie Redmayne's Fantastic Burberry Experience

Eddie Redmayne had a "fantastic experience" shooting Burberry's spring/summer 2012 campaign.

The actor-and-model teamed up with Cara Delevingne for the shoot - which was photographed by Mario Testino and is set to be released on January 4 - and he enjoyed working with the company's Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey.

Eddie, 29, told Vogue.co.uk: "I have worked with Burberry before and it's always a fantastic experience.

"Christopher wanted something playful from the shoot and so Cara and I had a genius couple of days fooling around. Hopefully the enjoyment we had is reflected in the campaign."

The 'My Week with Marilyn' star - who worked on the brand's spring/summer 2008 campaign - praised the designer with helping him to deal with the "intimidating" world of fashion.

He added: "I am a huge fan of Christopher Bailey. He is a brilliant designer and a brilliant man. The Fashion world can be a tad intimidating, but Christopher remains a kind, grounded gem of a man."

Earlier this year, Christopher admitted Burberry was in an "old rut" when he joined the company as creative director in May 2001, before he was made chief creative director in November 2009.

He said: "I never wanted to be a number one person; I was always happy being a number two person. When I joined Burberry, I was 29 - a kid - and Burberry was very old, not specifically in age, but in its mindset. Burberry was just in an old rut. There was no energy whatsoever, it was a company based on past glory."
