The singer-songwriter has said he is enjoying collaborating with various artists, including The Streets' Mike Skinner.
"I've written three songs this week with different people. I just wanted to do something different because I reached a transitional period in my career this time last year and I wanted to put my own career on a back burner and do other stuff," he told BBC 6 Music.
He added that he may well turn up on THE STREETS new album playing mandolin or banjo.
"I can't wait to hear it. I've heard songs that Im playing on that are amazing. He [Mike Skinner] has definitely got something to say I think," he said.
Elsewhere, Mike Skinner recently claimed that finishing THE STREETS new album EVERYTHING IS BORROWED was one of the highlights of his life.
