Ed Asner - Ed Asner Released From Hospital

Veteran actor Ed Asner has been released from hospital after receiving treatment for exhaustion.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show star, 83, sparked fears for his health after appearing to struggle with his lines during a Tuesday night (12Mar13) performance of his one-man play Fdr in Gary, Indiana and had to be taken to a nearly hospital.

He was released from doctors' care on Thursday (14Mar13) and is now planning to fly home to Los Angeles, reports the Associated Press.

Ironically, his own health emergency came just hours after Asner went public with his thoughts and feelings about former co-star Valerie Harper's terminal cancer diagnosis.
