Dustin Hoffman Set To Appear In Third Meet The Fockers Film
DUSTIN HOFFMAN has agreed to appear in the third instalment of the 'Meet the Fockers' franchise, BBC News reports. The 73-year-old wasn't initially cast for 'Little Fockers' after the film's creators failed to reach a deal with him, but director JAY ROACH has reportedly convinced Hoffman to re-join the movie, which also sees ROBERT DE NIRO, BEN STILLER, and OWEN WILSON reprise their usual roles as characters in the dysfunctional families.
The Hollywood actor, and star of 1988s 'Rain Man', will have to film his scenes in a series of re-shoots next month, as the movie has already been completed. Hoffman will once again play Bernie Focker, the on-screen husband of BARBRA STREISAND'S character, and father of Greg Focker, played by BEN STILLER. Movie bosses will be hopeful that the new movie is as successful as its predecessors - the first two films in the franchise, 'Meet the Parents', and 'Meet the Fockers', grossed more than $445m at the US box office.
Hoffman has had a long and distinguished film career, winning two ACADEMY AWARDS along the way, for his work in 1979s 'Kramer vs Kramer', and 'Rain Man'.
